Thermal science topics related to HVAC and refrigeration systems and components
  Two-phase flow modeling

Teaching Interests

Professor Bittle's teaching interests broadly cover the thermal sciences.  He has developed and teaches  TCU's Engineering courses in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermal systems design, and the thermal systems laboratory course.

Student Projects

Design and testing of a prototype air-vibration vacuum cleaner
Construction of a capillary tube test facility
Development of the capillary tube test stand data acquisition system using LabView
An experimental study of frictional pressure drop in small bore capillary tubes
Investigation of packaging techniques for a phase change material (PCM)
Assessment of the potential impact of a phase change material insulation concept on energy consumption
Refrigerant flow two-phase viscosity in small bore capillary tubes
