Robert Bittle has been a member of the Department of Engineering at Texas Christian University since August 15, 1994. He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1980, a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Purdue University in 1983, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University. From 1983 and 1990, Robert worked for General Electric Aircraft Engines in Cincinnati, Ohio as a turbine cooling systems engineer.
Research Interests
- Thermal science topics related to HVAC and refrigeration systems and components
- Two-phase flow modeling
Teaching Interests
Professor Bittle's teaching interests broadly cover the thermal sciences. He has developed and teaches TCU's Engineering courses in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermal systems design, and the thermal systems laboratory course.
